Natural Pet Remedies Removed From TikTok: What’s Going On?

Why Did TikTok Flag My Natural Pet Health Videos Again?

TikTok flagged my account again, and this time the warning said another similar violation could result in an account ban.

The videos listed were older videos from 2023 and 2024 about natural remedies for dog allergies, natural remedies for pets with cancer, and a medicinal mushroom for pets with cancer.

So yes, apparently talking about natural pet remedies, CBD, medicinal plants, cancer support, or alternative options can trigger some pretty big alarm bells on certain social media platforms.

Do I know exactly why this happened? No.

Was it the algorithm? Was it someone reporting old videos? Was it an AI scan of older content? Was it pressure from larger systems that do not like certain topics being discussed?

I do not know for sure.

But I do know this: pet parents deserve access to a range of information, including conventional care, natural options, and thoughtful questions about both.

What Happened to My TikTok Account?

I logged into TikTok and saw a big red account warning.

When I clicked on it, TikTok listed multiple violations.

The videos included:

  • Top Three Natural Remedies for Dog Allergies
  • Pet Diagnosed With Cancer? Top Three Natural Remedies
  • Pet With Cancer? Try This Medicinal Mushroom

One of the videos was posted in 2024, and two were posted in 2023.

That is part of what makes this strange. These were not brand-new videos. They were older posts that suddenly appeared as current violations.

The warning said I had multiple strikes for violating community guidelines and that another similar violation could result in an account ban.

An account ban.

For talking about natural remedies for dog allergies and cancer support?

That seems extreme to me.

Why Are Natural Pet Remedies Considered “Controversial”?

Some topics seem to trigger social media platforms more than others.

In my experience, these topics may include:

  • CBD
  • Hemp
  • Medicinal mushrooms
  • Cancer support
  • Natural remedies for allergies
  • Vaccine discussions
  • Raw feeding
  • Alternative pet health options

I may talk about atopy, which is environmental allergy in dogs, and mention CBD. Then suddenly, that can be treated as risky.

CBD is one of many cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. It has a whole array of different medicinal qualities, but in some places it is still classified or treated as marijuana.

That seems to make social media companies very cautious.

And when these companies are trying to stay on the right side of different regulations, they may restrict certain topics instead of allowing a balanced discussion.

Why Does This Matter for Pet Parents?

This matters because the information you see online is filtered.

You may think you are seeing a balanced range of opinions, but you are not always seeing everything.

Some topics are promoted.

Some topics are restricted.

Some videos stay up.

Some get removed.

That means a pet parent looking for help with allergies, cancer, raw food, vaccines, or natural remedies may never see certain viewpoints.

And I do not think that is good for pet parents.

You should be able to hear more than one side, ask questions, and make your own decision for your dog or cat.

Is YouTube Different?

For the most part, YouTube has been more open for me.

I am grateful for YouTube, and I am grateful for the viewers and subscribers there.

Most of the things I discuss on YouTube, even fairly controversial natural pet health topics, are usually allowed to be published.

Not always. But often.

That is why, if something is removed from TikTok, there is a good chance I have already discussed it on YouTube.

I am still going to talk about what I feel are some of the better holistic remedies for common dog and cat diseases, including allergies and cancer support.

If that includes CBD, medicinal mushrooms, or newer alternative options that pet parents are seeing results with, yes, I am going to talk about that.

Gasp.

There. I said it.

Why Would Older Videos Be Flagged Now?

That is one of the things I find most interesting.

The videos TikTok listed were from 2023 and 2024. Yet the account warning appeared now.

So what happened?

A few possibilities come to mind:

  • Someone may have gone through older videos and reported them.
  • TikTok may have updated its algorithm.
  • AI may have rescanned old content.
  • Certain words, like CBD or cancer, may have triggered a review.
  • The platform may be tightening rules around health claims or alternative remedies.

I do not know which one it was.

But I do know this: it feels odd when years-old videos suddenly put an account at risk of being banned.

Are Natural Remedies Being Silenced?

I do think some natural pet health topics are harder to discuss publicly.

That does not mean every natural remedy is perfect.

That does not mean every conventional treatment is bad.

That does not mean every alternative claim should be accepted without question.

But it does mean we should be allowed to ask reasonable questions.

For example, I understand platforms wanting to stop harmful claims, fake cures, or outrageous promises.

No one should be saying:

  • “Take this and your dog will never be sick.”
  • “This cures everything.”
  • “Pay me $1,000 and your cat will never develop kidney disease.”
  • “Skip all veterinary care and only use this.”

That is not reasonable.

I do not make those kinds of guarantees.

But talking about natural remedies for allergies, cancer support, or medicinal mushrooms does not seem unreasonable to me.

What About CBD for Dogs and Cats?

CBD is one of the topics that often seems to trigger restrictions.

In one of the flagged allergy videos, I believe I discussed CBD.

CBD is one of many cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. In my view, it is not the same thing as marijuana, but in some countries or systems, it may still be treated that way.

That can make platforms nervous.

So instead of allowing a careful, balanced discussion, they may simply restrict the topic.

That is unfortunate, because many pet parents are already asking about CBD for dogs and cats. They want to understand potential benefits, risks, dosing, and safety.

Silencing the conversation does not make the question go away.

It just makes it harder for pet parents to find thoughtful information.

What About Natural Cancer Support?

Two of the flagged videos involved cancer.

One was about top natural remedies for pets with cancer.

Another was about a medicinal mushroom for pets with cancer.

Apparently even talking about cancer support can be a problem on some platforms.

I understand why platforms are cautious with cancer claims. Cancer is serious. Pet parents are scared. No one should be making false promises.

But discussing natural support options is not the same as promising a cure.

There is a difference between saying:

“This may support your pet.”

And saying:

“This will cure cancer.”

I do not think those should be treated the same way.

What About Vaccines?

Vaccines are another topic where you have to be careful how you speak online.

Are all vaccines bad?

No.

That is not what I believe.

Vaccines clearly have a role in preventing serious disease. Think about parvovirus, for example. The parvovirus vaccine is very effective. Without vaccines, many dogs would have died from major infectious diseases.

But that does not mean I agree with every repeated booster schedule.

In my opinion, once a dog is older than one year and has already been exposed to the environment, additional parvovirus vaccines may not always be necessary.

Yet parvovirus is still commonly included as part of core vaccine boosters, often advised every 3 years.

In my opinion, that may lead to over-vaccination in some dogs.

And I believe repeated immune stimulation may contribute to autoantibodies, chronic inflammation, skin disease, and potentially problems involving organs such as the pancreas, liver, or kidneys.

That is my opinion.

And I think pet parents should be able to hear it, ask questions, and make informed choices.

What About Raw Feeding?

Raw food is another controversial topic.

If you ask whether you should feed your dog raw food, you will find plenty of people saying no.

Common arguments against raw feeding include:

  • It may not be balanced.
  • It may expose pets to pathogens.
  • It may expose people to pathogens.
  • It may not be healthy.

But many pet parents have fed raw food for years and say their dogs are healthier.

They see benefits from feeding whole, unprocessed food.

Many alternative veterinarians have also seen benefits from raw feeding.

So again, I am not saying everyone must feed raw.

I am saying the topic deserves a fair discussion.

Pet parents should be allowed to hear the risks, the benefits, the practical concerns, and the real-life experiences.

Why I Still Encourage Skepticism

I want you to be skeptical.

That includes being skeptical of me.

Just because someone is wearing scrubs, speaking with authority, or has letters after their name does not mean everything they say is always correct.

That applies to social media.

That applies to conventional veterinary advice.

That applies to alternative pet health advice.

That applies to me too.

If someone says your dog has a certain condition and needs a list of tests and medications, ask questions.

If someone online says a natural remedy may help, ask questions.

This is your dog. This is your cat.

Ultimately, the decision belongs to you.

What Questions Should Pet Parents Ask?

When you are given advice, whether online or in a clinic, ask better questions.

Helpful questions include:

  • Why do you recommend this?
  • What are the risks?
  • What are the benefits?
  • Are there natural options?
  • Are there conventional options?
  • What happens if we wait?
  • What happens if we do nothing?
  • What side effects should I watch for?
  • Is this urgent?
  • Is there a lower-risk option?
  • Is there evidence or experience supporting this?
  • What would you do if this were your pet?

You do not need to be confrontational.

Just curious.

Curious pet parents usually make better decisions.

Why I Still Want Feedback

I appreciate your feedback, positive or negative.

I want to hear it all.

I have learned many things from pet parents over the years. Sometimes someone points out something I did not think of. Sometimes I realize I should have said something differently.

That is part of honest discussion.

No one gets everything right all the time.

And if we are truly trying to help dogs and cats, then we should be willing to talk, listen, question, and learn.

What Should You Do if a Video Gets Removed?

If you cannot find one of my videos on TikTok, check YouTube.

Many of the topics that get restricted elsewhere are still available there.

That includes discussions about:

  • Natural remedies for dog allergies
  • Natural remedies for pets with cancer
  • Medicinal mushrooms
  • CBD
  • Holistic remedies for common dog and cat diseases
  • Raw feeding
  • Vaccine questions
  • Alternative pet health options

I am not stopping now.

If there is a natural option that may help, or a controversial topic pet parents are asking about, I am still going to talk about it.

Step-by-Step: How to Think for Yourself

Step 1: Notice What Is Being Filtered

Understand that social media does not show you everything.

Some topics are more restricted than others.

Step 2: Listen to More Than One Side

Do not only listen to one person, one platform, or one medical system.

Compare viewpoints.

Step 3: Ask Better Questions

Ask why, how, what risks, what benefits, and what alternatives.

Step 4: Watch for Overpromising

If someone says one remedy cures everything, be careful.

That is not honest medicine.

Step 5: Make the Decision for Your Pet

Your dog or cat is not a policy document.

They are your family member.

You need to make the best decision with the information you have.

Final Thoughts

TikTok flagged my account again.

The warning said another similar violation could result in a ban.

And the videos listed were about natural remedies for dog allergies, natural remedies for pets with cancer, and a medicinal mushroom for cancer support.

That does not seem reasonable to me.

I understand stopping harmful claims. I understand removing outrageous promises. I understand wanting pet parents to be safe.

But careful discussion of natural pet health options should not be treated like a threat.

You deserve access to information.

You deserve to ask questions.

You deserve to hear more than one side.

And I will keep talking about the natural, holistic, and sometimes controversial pet health options that I believe may help dogs and cats.

Thanks for watching, reading, questioning, and supporting this work.

P.S. If you see one of my videos disappear from TikTok, do not assume the topic was useless or dangerous.

Sometimes it just means the platform did not like the words used.

CBD. Cancer. Mushrooms. Raw food. Vaccines.

Gasp.
