  1. Great video – thanks for the information! So how can you tell the difference between a dog who is dreaming (running in his/her dream) as opposed to a dog who is seizuring?

  2. I lost my 7 year old Boston Terrier February 5, 2012 to uncontrolled seizures. Scooter was on phenabarbitol. had been for almost 2 years. I called Scooter’s his vet which was a 45 minute drive away, asking the receptionist if I could bring him in. Receptionist told me to just ride the clonic seizures out. That was my first mistake listening to an incompetent receptionist. She said the vet was busy and couldn’t talk to me. I called her back an hour later and Scooter died in my arms while I was talking to her. The vet wouldn’t even take my phone calls. I did get hold of her 3 days later and she said “i meant to tell you to go to another vet”. I am still extremely angry but there is nothing that I can do, I don’t go to that vet anymore. Anyway I have homeopathic medicine here and I have the 2 that you mentioned. I also have flax oil. I could have saved Scooter if I would have had this information. I had searched the internet trying to find something to help him but I couldn’t find anything at that time. I want to thank you for posting this video and sharing all of your wisdom. You are a wonderful person!

  3. My cat is 15, recently started having seizures starting with running fast through the house, falling down and twitching, taking 1 to 2 seconds total. This lasted for two days, maybe 6 or so a day, and not eating. On the third day he finally ate, and was fine for several days. Today frequent, every half hour or so this morning, It’s stopped now.

Watched the video, I’m wondering if it’s food related because I got some special (expensive) cans at the pet food store in the last month or so for a special trest. He has been eating the same food all this life, sometimes I add a bit of human tuna in water, so I’m suspecting the different food, which I put a little pile of on top of his favorite, which is a brand of tuna with vitamins only carried by Trader Joe’s, and that brand’s dry food, with a few of their treats and a few “Temptations” brand (which I don’t consider healthy, but he does like the flavors) thrown on top.

So, it may be the different food, or it may be in tuna, which one is always warned about. First I’ll eliminate the new food, and see, and then maybe the homeopathics. The acupressure point under the nose would be difficult if the spasm only lasts a second or two! But worth a try because I believe in acupuncture.

I really appreciate you for creating this site and sharing information. Wish I could see you in the flesh!

  4. I neglected to mentioin that Bob (my cat, he told me hisname when he was young) has never had shots or visited a vet. The year there were lots of fleas (I do let him out occasionally) I used diatomaceous earth, and a gizmo with a lamp and a sticky pad underneath, which he slept next to. Also, lately the last few months I notice his lenses are blue, and light doesn’t change the pupil shape. i’ve been reading that carnosine is being recommended for humans and pets with cataracts, I’m considering that for him. (I don’t take pharmaceuticals myself or shots, but I do believe in supplements.)
