Thank you so much for this information. My cat is 14.5 years old and has been fighting cancer for about a year now. Recent bloodwork has indicated that her Urea and Creatinine are moderately elevated.

Hi Carolyn, my cat is going through a similar thing with his kidneys. I took him to the ASPCA Vets and they told me to give him a tsp. (teaspoon) of pumpkin daily withhis wet food! I give it to both my cats and they love it!!! I usually put the canned wet food in the fridge along with the pumpkin and when its feeding time, I mix it with hot filtered water from my coffe machine to temp the cold food so that its warm and they sluck it up!!!
