Today’s news sort of involves animals, but its really about my father.
He is going through an unfortunate ugly fight with his family. His brother has taken over the family farm and essentially kicked my father off.
This has been a very personal fight, but I thought why not share it with my readers.
What is happening to David is not just.
He put his entire life into his family farm – including his own life savings – and now his family has kicked him out to pasture… with no home, no community, and no money.

David Jones is the third generation to farm the 1500 acre spread on the banks of the Fraser River not far from Lillooet.
David was born in the family farm house – known as the “Big House” – 72 years ago.
David had hoped that he could retire on the farm and leave his portion of the ownership to his children.
” Now all I’m hoping to get is some financial compensation so I can at least give some Christmas presents to my grandkids.”
