Thanks Dr. Jones
Your tips are really helpful. I speak from experience, my elderly buddy was having stomach problems and would not eat. I gave him half doses of Antacid Tablets (the pink stuff) in the morning and it really helped him through the day.
My vet finally admitted that what I was doing for him was just as good as the medication he was going to perscribe for him.
Thanks Much!
what can i give my dog for hip pain
For hip pain in dogs, Aspirin can be an effective option. It is a great pain reliever and can help manage discomfort related to hip pain. However, there are some important cautions:
If your dog is dehydrated or has liver or kidney issues, avoid using Aspirin.
If your dog is already on another anti-inflammatory like Rimadyl, do not use Aspirin.
The recommended dosage for regular strength, uncoated Aspirin is 325 mg per 40 lbs of body weight, administered twice per day. Always consult your vet before starting any new treatment.
