Just a note from me … a well known dog lover in my community. After a pet dies often people say they were so distraught that they will never get another pet. I tell them, dont keep that love away from another pet that could richly live basking in your love. They sometimes need permission to get another pet. It isn’t dismissing the previous loved pet, but continuing that love to another dog.
