Hey everyone.
You guys sure respond.
My last newsletter was about my mother-in-law’s new CRAZY rule to NEVER allow their dog to get into their new car.
It’s been driving me a little batty – so I thought I would share it.
You guys delivered!
Thanks for the ‘how to get Mackie back into the car suggestions’.
I really liked the suggestion to get a specific type of pet cover for ALL of the vehicle seats…
SIMPLE SOLUTION!
I’ll bring this up in a ‘compromising way’ and hopefully get Mackie back in the vehicle before I go back home to B.C.

Remember Michael Vick?
————————————-
NFL football star.
Horrible Dog Fighting Ring.
He was convicted and is now in jail.
But what ever happened to the dogs?
Here is a story and video link of one really positive thing that happened for one of the LUCKY rescued dogs…
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – It’s a dog’s life. And for Leo it couldn’t be better.
Leo — rescued from heavy chains that confined him as one of the pit bulls in former NFL quarterback Michael Vick’s dogfighting ring — is a lover, not a fighter. He now happily frolics in a clown collar as he makes the rounds at the Camino Infusion Center, where he brings comfort to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
Here is a link to a video showing just this:

P.S. I don’t know if you can ever get justice for what Michael Vick and others do to dogs that they have for dog fighting.
But he is in jail.
It sends a STRONG message.
Dog fighting is ILLEGAL.
Things are changing.
I suspect that even 10 years ago he wouldn’t have gone to jail.
Thanks to people like you, Michael Vick went to jail.
Thanks for being a subscriber, and I’ll talk to you on Monday. Have a safe, pet appreciating and animal advocating weekend 🙂

i am a firm believer in “ban the deed, not the breed.” i agree with dr. jones that there are more nasty little dogs than there are pit bulls. one of the sweetest dogs i have ever had in my life was a pitbull chow mix. yes, she was mean at first (due to having been abused in her former life. once she discovered that hands were for petting and scratching, she became the most lovable companion one could ever hope for in life. she became my constant companion and i miss her more than i could have ever imagined. with the ccorrect training, a little encouragement and a lot of love, any breed of dog can be a great addition to any household. if any community is considering a ban on any breed of dogs, i would hope they would consider a “grandfather” clause that allows current dogs of that breed to live out their life in peace as long as they disturb nobody else’s peace.
