Have you seen this?
—————————-
Marley and me.
Based on the book by John Grogan-
The book portrays Grogan and his family’s life
during the thirteen years that they lived with
their dog Marley, and the relationships and
lessons from this period. Marley, a yellow
Labrador Retriever, is described as a highly
strung, boisterous, and somewhat uncontrolled
dog. He is strong, powerful, endlessly hungry,
eager to be active, and often destructive of their
property (but completely without malice).
The eulogy written by the author in his newspaper
following the death of their dog is described as
receiving more responses than any other column he
had written in his professional life
I have yet to see the movie as my little town
has one movie theater, and the movies all get
here a month or so late.
You can see the trailer here:

I love that film! It is truly touching in some ways. By the way, did you by chance see this article about Zootoo’s shelter makeover? http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2009-04-12-zootoo-shelter-clash_N.htm
Great review about a great movie. I watched it together with my 8 weeks old Komondor Pup, He loved it too!
The first time I watched it I laughed and cried my eyes out in the end. We can relate as we have lost two labs to cancer than bloat. Nonetheless, Marley reminded us of our first lab as a puppy. Boy were we ever introduced to the lab puppy; chewer, obstinate, etc. People used to ask if she was taking me for a walk. She turned out to be one of the best companions and when we put her down it broke our hearts. It has been almost two since we lost our 8 y/o Jake who died on his own at the vets. It was devastating to our female who we had bought at the same time and we added 1 1/2 months later two very active brothers. They are just like having 2 human boys, active, physical, love the water and yes poop in the water! Wouldn’t have it any other way. Our one pup is a Marley though not as bad; curious and always getting into things. We bought plastic tubs to keep the dog food in as he would knock over the bag and eat it all. Did we laugh when we would compare Marley’s activities to any of our labs. Definitely a must see.
