Killer Beavers
Hello to you and your pets!
Here is an unusual video clip where wildlife ( beavers) are attacking and
in one case killing dogs.

Feel free to comment after the video, and suggest what you think should
be done.
Have a safe and enjoyable weekend- and as I am “On Call” hopefully a
quiet NON emergency filled weekend.
But if an emergency happens, Be Prepared.
Here is where you can grab my Books and Videos on Dog and Cat First Aid:

If the park does decides to take action, I hope they opt to relocate the beavers.
The beavers should be left alone. They are protecting their young – so this is likely ‘seasonal’.Dog owners need to be aware of the beavers being there and it is THEIR responsiblilty to keep their dogs safe and away from the area. We spent too much time altering ‘nature’ to suit the needs/wants of humans – there are lots of other places for people to take their dogs.
WHAT !!!!!!!!!!
KILL THE BEAVERS ….CAUSE ITS A DOG PARK ?
HOW DUMB IS THAT…
GO ELSEWHERE TO LET YOUR DOG OUT…
TWISTED THINKING TO KILL AN ANIMAL IN THEIR
OWN NATURAL HABITANT TO SUIT PEOPLES NEEDS!!!!
Here’s another case of human “entitlement”. Who was there first? How about relocating the dogs and people to a place where the beavers aren’t trying to live?? Oh, that’s right. They might have to go out of their ways a little bit (she said with mild sarcasm). I’m for Mother Nature on this one. Leave the beavers alone, and take the pets elsewhere!
Until the Beavers had been re-located I wouldn’t allow my dogs in the water. I don’t approve of killing the Beavers, they were obviously protecting their babies. If they cannot be re-located, then keep your dogs out of the water.
I read about this in the newspaper last night, and seeing it again this morning just makes me so upset that killing those beavers would even be an option. I’m happy to hear that the pet owners are against such extreme and unnecessary action though, it has made me hopeful that perhaps the City of Red Deer will choose to relocate the beavers instead of killing them. That is my hope and prayer anyways.
Oh yeah, let’s just kill ’em cuz we’re humans and can’t come up with a better solution…disgusting that this is even an option.
I’m glad to see the citizens, at least, are against it….Oh Canada!
I can’t read about, much less watch things like this. Thanks for the warning.
While it’s unfortunate dogs have been hurt and 1 killed, the dogs are invading the beaver habitat and owners have to understand the risks associated with that. Relocating or killing the beavers should not be a consideration. Post a sign warning dog owners of the possibility of an encounter with wildlife.
This may sound a bit harsh but I think that maybe the dog owners could take their pets elsewhere and leave the Beavers alone. After all the Beavers are Canadian native animals, aren’t they?
Doc:
Are you kidding me! Six or seven friggin beavers and their acting like they’re dealing with sensitive negotiations in a hostage situation.
Trap and relocate the demon killer beavers already!
Holy crap, you crazy Canooks.
If anything, I think the dogs should be stopped from going in the pond. The dog owners have a choice where they go, the beavers live there. I heard on another news channel that a few private land owners have offered their land with pond for the beavers to be relocated to.
Where ARE the wild animals to go?!! I’ve heard many who’ve bought/built homes in undeveloped areas “to enjoy the country”, just to turn around & complain “The deer are eating my shrubs” or “That *%#! deer ran out in front of me & ruined my car!”, etc. Well if you infiltrate animal’s homes, wouldn’t it go to figure YOU should adapt to THEM, rather than they to you?!! Learn to enjoy, appreciate & learn from them instead of allowing your dogs to invade their habitat. It’s your obligation to train or restrain the dogs from doing what comes naturally to them. Leave the poor Mama beavers alone! *$#% humans anyway!
Go for greatness but stay true to ALL your beliefs…You have a huge opportunity to really help many who aren’t so internet savvy but watch the TV…… Any way you can get the information out to the masses is a good thing…..xoxo
Thnaks for yoru hard work for all the animals…..
Go for it! Just one more media opportunity to help others and share your love & knowledge of pets.
Dr. Jones
If you can deal with being a celebrity…Go for it
But I think with your knowledge and LOOKS you will be an instant hit..
Whatever you can deal with..
I don’t want to lose you on the internet..You are very valuable to me in helping my dogs and cats
Dr. Jones
You will become an instant celebrity.with your knowledge and LOOKS..But the world needs to hear your findngs…Sure hope you will still be on the internet..Sounds like a good opportunity
The animals have a voice in you, and you need to be that voice for them. You will reach a wider audience on T.V. and I believe you will stay humble. I also believe you will be bigger the Dr. Oz he also does T.V. for medical issues, but MD for humans. Things happen for a reason, and this is your opportunity. Good Luck with your decision, and thank you for being the animals voice.
I think it would be a good idea for you to go on this show.
I would like to hear more about Feline herpsvirus
and I’m sure there are others out there who would also like more info, how to care for a cat with this herpesvirus and their out breaks.
I live in Yarmouth, Ma. When & what channel would this show be on? Would like to watch you & hope to hear you talk some on Feline herpesviirus
I say go for it! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You will be able to open that many more minds as to what is good and not good for our pets. Too many people know nothing about the benefits of natural products. I believe in prevention so I do not have to find a cure. Sorry I will not get the benefit as I live in North CArolina
Doctor, you are better to guide folks on healthy products than the general public.
I know how that is because I write articles on how to feed your pets the healthy way.
Also being a pet rep for a company
I have found out that most just sluff off my info.
But you Doctor they will at least listen to what you have to say.
You can’t expect to change all but hopefully some
I say it is better to take care of your pets now or pay a hefty price later on when they get sick.
Yes, go for it. Any advice you can give pet owners that can help their pets is worth the effort.
I say “go for it!”
Hi Dr. Andrew,
I can understand your reluctance…however, WE NEED YOU…THE PETS NEED YOU!…lol. Please do consider doing this because it would be great for you in that your sales would skyrocket and it would help so many more animals that have owners who cannot afford to run to the vet for everything. You may be the difference between an animal having to continue to suffer without treatment and being treated at home with something that can give them back their quality of life.
God bless you and your fur babies!
Sharon
Happy Thursday to you. I think it would be a great idea once you thought thorough the time, travel involved on a weekly appearance. Other things to consider are if it would interfer with your daily practice. However, your appearance on this show will bring more people to understand the importance of caring for their pets. Your love for animals shows thru in your videos your a natural. Go for it, maybe once month to start off there will be adjustments you will have to make. What channel or city will it air on? Best wishes in your new adventure.
Be Blessed, Sally
PS As for the Beaver video, people are invading their natural homes. Humans move on, not Beavers.
