Re: I woke up and saw this..

Hi fellow faithful readers… Welcome to Friday.
As I wake up this morning to let out the dogs, Lewis and Pearl, I saw…
Snow
WOW – I guess it’s time for winter tires.
It’s cloudy, cold and kind of gloomy outside.
Then if you haven’t been in a bubble there’s the whole financial/economic meltdown thing happening.
NOT good…
Aren’t I just a bunch of CHEER this morning 🙂
Some people really don’t have much money, and this is impacting health care decisions for their pet.
Makes sense.
The average Vet visit will run you 150 dollars or so.
If your dog or cat needs some type of surgery, then you are easily at 500 dollars plus.

SO… What can you do?
————————————–
Keep your pets as healthy as possible by Preventing disease in the first place.
1. Feed a quality, gluten free, premium kibble – if you feeding kibble. Avoid corn, and wheat as the first ingredient.
2. Ensure that your cats get at least 1/2 of their food as canned – the best way to prevent urinary tract disease.
3. Make some of your dog or cats food at home – see a sample recipe below.
4. Try some Raw- Lewis (my dog) loves Raw food, and his teeth are cleaner as as result of eating it.
5. A quality, natural, complete Supplement. Such as my new Ultimate Canine Health Formula:
http://www.thedogsupplement.com
6. Vaccinate for less things less often. Yes vaccinate your puppies and kittens – BUT for a maximum of 2 boosters, and with ONLY the key components. Distemper, Parvovirus and Rabies for dogs – Herpes, Calici, Panleuk and Rabies for Cats.
Then a maximum of once every 3 years – YOU DON’T need yearly boosters. These may be doing more harm than good.
7. Take matters into your OWN hands. Learn some basic healing techniques, and skills. Get the basics of treating your dog or cat at home for illness and injuries, and use safe and simple home remedies.
Such as a black tea bag for eye infections.
Acupressure for arthritis.
Green tea supplements for cancer.
Vitamin C for Urinary tract infections.
Arsenicum (a homeopathic remedy) for garbage gut.
Probiotics for vomiting/diarrhea/kidney disease/allergies.
TO learn some of these you should start with my best selling book – Veterinary Secrets Revealed – it’s at https://shop.veterinarysecrets.com. (At the very least download my free e-book).
And then do some of the things I advise-
Your pet, and your wallet, will thank me…

My cat is dying of cancer. Diagnosed too late for me to do anything, and I have been trying. He has shut down and there is no reversing the process of more toxins in his body, so yes, I am glad there is the option of euthanasia for pets, to end the suffering and not keep them going when it’s terminal and for our pleasure. It’s selfish to keep them hanging on because we can’t let go. I love my cat, I have quite a few, and i’ve lost quite a few, several to cancer. They are the same as us, some do fine all thier lives, some don’t. We all die some day, and it’s sad to lose a loved one but I would rather they die in peace than miserable. I have to find a compassionate vet today that will help Reilly and myself and not charge an arm and a leg, or I could just let nature take it’s course. I think it should be a free service as it’s difficult enough to lose a loved one.
Dear Dr. Jones,
Thank you for all your extremely helpful information. I wish I would have known about these important alternatives sooner. Recently my cat, Cymba, had to have eye surgery. His eye suddenly became severely infected and deteriorated. Of course, I rushed him to the veterinarian, and his eye had to be removed. The veterinarian does not know what had caused this. Your book Veterinary Secrets Revealed has so much in it, and at least I could research the kind of food and diet that will be good for Cymba’s eye, as well as to protect his good eye, so he won’t lose his sight completely. It must be so scary for him to have to adjust to this. Wish you a very happy, healthy, and prosperous Holiday and New Year.
