Valentines day is tomorrow…

Chocolates seem to be ‘the thing’ that are most given, BUT as you know, they can be seriously toxic to our pets. Then most of the time we are not giving our dogs or cats anything.

Now with all the unconditional love they provide, don’t you think your pets would like something? I know Tula LOVES her treats 🙂

So today I am going to be baking, and here are 2 recipes that are YUMMY and healthy…

Ingredient Checklist

  • 1 cup coconut flour
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons ground flax
  • 2 scoops of Ultimate Canine

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F. In a small bowl, combine the coconut flour, ground flax, and Ultimate Canine. In a separate medium bowl, blend the mashed bananas and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add half of the flour mixture, stirring to incorporate. Mix in the remaining flour mixture, using hands if necessary, until a dough forms. Cover the dough and chill for 20 minutes.

Step 2

On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Use a small, bone-shaped cookie cutter or a knife to cut out shapes. Re-roll any scraps and cut more shapes. Place the shapes on parchment-lined baking sheets. Use a fork to poke four holes in the center of each treat.

Step 3

Bake the treats for approximately 25 minutes, or until they are dried and the bottoms are golden. Turn off the oven and leave the treats inside to cool for 1 hour. Transfer the treats to a wire rack and allow them to cool completely.

Storage

Store the completely cooled treats in an airtight container or resealable bag at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw before serving.
