Yes, I think your consulting another lawyer for a second opinion is in order. However, I believe you should play it very conservatively to protect you and your dwindling resources. You have earned a reputable reputation through your practice of being a good, honest and good veterinarian, holistically treating animals in your care. You have not cut corners, placing the lives and health of your animals in jeopardy, but rather doing all in your power to heal while causing no harm. The only reason a professional should be disbarred or disqualified to practice is because they are causing harm to animals. This does not appear to be the cause of your disputed case.
Before aligning yourself too closely with the India/Canadian Veterinarian, make sure animals were not harmed or short changed through his practice. He may also have been a wise Vet who practiced the least intrusive treatment to heal animals successfully. It does sound as if there were other extenuating circumstances in his legal case that separated your two cases.
Anyway, a second opinion is always healthy, whether it be a legal or health issue. Good luck!
