Hello dr Jones
My Little chiwawa/minpin about 14yrs old has a chronic hoarse cough for approximately 2 years. I have treated it with
Antibiotics thinking it was kennel cough.
Now on the weekend the hoarse cough was worse she has bouts of constant sneezing and snorting.
I took her to my Vet she recommended a chest
Exray where she said she has fluid in the tubes in her lungs and gave me Prednisolone 5mg
1 tab 2x a day for ,8 days and 1 tab once a day for 6 days.
Then I am to return so she can do another exray at $600.00.
She then said I may have to do an echocardiogram also on the heart. She also said the heart was also enlarged I think 1side.
This is all very expensive for a senior
Can you give me some advice as to what I can do about this
I would really appreciate it
Thanks so much Dr Jones
