  1. I have read that Burdock has been associated with poisonings because some products have been contaminated with root of belladonna or deadly nightshade. These herbs contain a poisonous chemical called atropine.

Could you comment and/or provide a reliable source for Burdock root that does not contain atropine?

  2. Thank you for the information on Lyme disease. Our senior (13) shepherd tested positive for Lyme disease this year. For years we had our dogs on Revolution…and I’ve become so leary of all the pesticides we put on/in our dogs that I ceased using the product. We’re taking a “wait and see” approach — keeping our eyes open for any symptoms that might show up. A friend’s dog has also tested positive for Lyme disease, and she is approaching it the same way. We live in NYS…and have definitely seen an increase in ticks. I also feel that a healthy immune system (dog and human) makes a poor host for disease. We have not put a Seresto collar on her (not thrilled about it…but at least it is not systemic.)

  3. I give our dogs raw, organic burdock root cut up in their food several times per week. Is this a safe way to give it to them & are there any concerns regarding them getting too much relative to the high level of potassium in burdock?
