The no no video really upset my dogs, looks like serious neuro damage, not funny
My 4 year old Ragdoll will say a loud Noooooo when I pull out the grooming tools, and keep saying Nooooo until I start brushing her, at which the Noooooos get softer and softer until she is asleep. I get the same No when I am cutting her nails, but here, I say Yeeeess, she replies Noooo, and it goes back and forth as she lays there letting me cut her nails. I find Ragdoll’s have an opinion and don’t hesitate expressing it. Diva is toilet trained, does obedience and some agility.
This upset me because this is what my cats do when they are about to throw up! The salivating, chomping the jaws, ears back, with the horrible sounds… it means they feel terrible. Not funny!
That was really gross and weird. My dog barked through it and the cat shown was obviously in some distress and didn’t want the laughing man to touch it. Yuck!
It’ s really sad! This poor cat is suffering!
Probably seizures or probably he is near to vomit.
Absolutely orrible!
You should be ashamed publishing this and promoting something that shows a cat in serious distress. Why hasn’t someone reported the owner??
Shame on the owner for posting this video…as previous commenters have said, this is usually a precursor to a hairball vomit, a fight with an intruder cat, or it could be neurological in origin. Dr Jones, what are your comments and why did you post this too????????
That absolutely sickened me to my stomach!!! I’m no vet but have had cats for over 17 years and dogs for 15 and I guarantee that cat is not just distressed but TERRIFIED. The cat was not calmed at all by the man stroking it obviously pretending for video sake. I’d go as far as saying someone behind the camera had something that seriously frightened the cat. The pupils were completely dialated and the cat was really frightened. What did they use to do that? I’ve seen a cat do that when a large snake was around. NOT FUNNY. Just promotes ignorant videos made by cruel ignorant humans!!!
Hi Andrew! I’m a little surprised this is your favorite video. This cat is in obvious distress. This cat looks scared as well as ill. Its fur has signs of dehydration, the licking of the mouth is a sign of needing to vomit. Trust me, I know these signs. My cat died of stomach cancer last year. Her fur looked like the fur of this animal (sort of clumped in spots) and I will never forget the mouth swallowing thing she did. I had to take her in for fluids every 2 days. Everyone, please mind these signs. It doesn’t always mean something as grave as cancer, but if your cat’s fur looks kind of oily and clumpy they are dehydrated. It is vital a cat stays hydrated or their kidneys will get shot!?
