She made me do ________?

Hello fellow veterinary Secrets readers… Happy Friday to you!
I have been talking about the common reasons why pets go to the Vet.
There have been some pretty common diseases…
Ear infections
Allergies
Bladder Infections
Arthritis
Cancer
But there are OTHER reasons that aren’t diseases at all.
What do I mean?
Society.
You are expected and ‘pressured’ to go. If your dog or cat is ill, the ‘normal’ thing is to go to the Vet. Don’t try and take matters into your own hands.
In fact you are sheltered from the world of animal healing with BIG Veterinary words like… tachycardia (fast heart rate) or tachypnea (faster respiratory rate), or alopecia (hair loss)… the list is BIG.
And Your neighbors aren’t likely trying any home remedies on their pets.
In fact they may have warned you about the dangers of taking matters into your own hands.
The large drug companies don’t want you using acupressure – they want you to use their New ‘Wonder Drug’.
The Pet Food Companies don’t want you to make your own food… You know that it has to be balanced or else… Complete Nutrition comes in a bag of dry kibble??
Your veterinarian discourages you from healing your pet at home – they are in business because you bring in your pets for diseases that they can treat.
And look at the effects of social pressure on teenagers – so many wear the same clothes, talk the same talk, look up to less than ideal celebrities as role models.
To buck the trend is a rare thing these days.
And you can ask me about the perils of going against the grain… I have a professional association to answer to.
I applaud those of you who have chosen to become more empowered and take matters into your own hands…You are healing your pets naturally at home!
You don’t need to give up conventional veterinary care- but you can sure complement it.
